Bio |
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, I moved to Philadelphia in ’93. I graduated from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Business in 2005, and since then have lived in Washington, DC, San Diego, and now Austin.
I’ve always had a love for technology and a passion for innovation, which lead me to learn Ruby on Rails and found Howzit (http://www.howzitsms.com) in 2008. I joined Real HQ (http://www.realhq.com) in 2011, where I work as a systems and software engineer. I also work with Infochimps (http://www.infochimps.com) as a contractor doing Ruby on Rails development.
Previously, I worked as a consultant specializing in IT risk and controls for KPMG’s Information Technology Advisory Services practice and later as an independent consultant. I helped organizations to assess their IT risk and to enhance the controls in place within their IT environments. My clients included a number of well-known Fortune 500 companies and government departments, as well as some smaller organizations.
Outside of work, I enjoy rock climbing, running, photography, playing guitar, music, consuming delicious food, and cycling. |
