| Bio | Leila Kalmbach is a freelance copywriter, journalist and editor. Some of her preferred topics include travel, health and wellness, and stories of people’s interesting and unusual life experiences. She’s written for Austin Monthly magazine, Tasmanian Life magazine, the Austin Business Journal, Yoga Sanga magazine, Austin WeddingDay magazine, Fotofix, TravelMuse Inc., TicketCity and Bravarro public affairs firm, among others. Her editorial clients include the University of Texas Press, the Austin Business Journal, the Texas Dental Association, Milkshake Media, University of Texas academic departments, and numerous authors and individuals, among others. An Austin native, Leila graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts from Reed College in Portland, Oregon. After a year working with “at-risk” students as an AmeriCorps member, an internship with the University of Texas Press, and a year proofreading legislation and code for the Texas Legislative Council, she became a full-time freelancer in 2007.
