| Bio | I consider myself a unique hybrid — a writer with a passion for design. I’ve shaped my life around both, graduating from Iowa State University with a degree in journalism, writing every chance I get, but spending the majority of my professional life designing. I’ve since expanded into the world of marketing, returning to Iowa State to get my MBA, and am now working as a writer, designer, and more at Daktronics. In addition to my 9-5 grind, I work as an NSPA judge, critiquing newspapers, magazines, yearbooks, and websites from across the country. I recently partnered with a local photographer to design wedding albums, invitations, and the like. The rest of my time is spent seeking out freelance opportunities to build my client base.
